Activities

We are blessed to have holiday activities to suit all tastes in our little corner of Fife.

golf at St Andrews

Blebo Stables is within 5 miles of St Andrews. Famous for its universities, its historic buildings such as medieval cathedral and castle, and its beautiful beaches such as West Sands which at over 2 miles long was used in the film Chariots of Fire.

St Andrews has excellent restaurants, unique bars and a good selection of both boutique and high-street shops. For children there is also an aquarium and a lifeguard supervised play area at the beach in the summer months.

St Andrews, known as the home of golf, has seven courses in all: the world-class Old Course, with its landmark Swilcan Bridge at the 18th hole, the Castle Course, New Course, Jubilee Course, Eden Course, Strathtyrum Course and Balgove Course.

The Tentsmuir Nature Reserve with sand dunes is a stunning place to spot wildlife including seals, eider ducks and oyster catchers.

The Fife coastal paths, dotted with quaint little villages are great for walkers, with many watering holes along the way.

Dundee is a 30 min drive away and is a great cultural day trip. The brand new Victoria & Albert museum and historic McManus Gallery are well worth a visit. For anyone interested in boats there is also the famous RRS Discovery ship and the HMS Unicorn ship which can be visited. For kids there are also great outdoor water activities in the Aqua-park, laser tag, go carting etc.

Another great daytrip for families is the Scottish Deer Centre where you can stroke and feed the wildlife – look out for the wolves!

For those that wish to spend time fishing we have 17 minutes away St. Andrews Angling Club by the Cameron reservoir, stocked with Brown and Rainbow trout.

After so much exciting activity you may just want to relax at Blebo. We have lovely open meadows, luscious forests and even a hidden lake nearby to explore with your dogs.
